Type of Moisture Meters
Pin Moisture Meter use "Electrical Resistance" method. That we can know the moisture content by stab a pair of probes into the material. There is a little current flowing between the dual probe, the moisture content inside the material is good conductor. Therefore, the resistance will vary depending on moisture content. High resistance = Low moisture content and Low resistance = High moisture content. This technology provides a difference of accuracy based on chemical properties of material and the thickness doesn't affect to accuracy.
Wood Moisture Meters
Wood Moisture Meters is specially designed for measuring wood moisture. With special characteristics of wood of various types. The moisture will be clear to the wood, such as stretching and shrinking, the strength of the wood.
The moisture content of Thailand is between 10 to 12%, the imported wood will have to adjust the moisture in this period before use. In addition, wood drying to obtain moisture to suit the moisture conditions. It also helps prevent fungal growth during transportation.
