What is Infrared Thermometer?

Infrared thermometer is a non-contact infrared (IR) thermometer. Sometime called laser thermometers (laser is to use to only help aim the thermometer) It can measure temperature from a distance. It measure surface temperature of targeted material. Even you aim the liquid in the cup, Infrared thermometer can measure only surface temperature of liquid, not core temperature.
